Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a warrant and allegedly located drugs on his person when he was contacted on Monday night.

An SPD report said at 10:00 p.m. the 31-year was contacted in the 900 block of West Central Avenue. Dispatch confirmed the warrant and the man was taken into custody. During the search for weapons and means of escape, an officer reportedly located a bag with a white crystal substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

The man was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $18,750.
