ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN ON MULTIPLE CHARGES FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man on multiple charges following an alleged assault incident on Friday night.

An RPD report said at 11:30 p.m. officers responded after a disturbance was called in at an establishment in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens Street. Officers learned that 52-year-old Nathan Robinson accused someone of stealing his jacket, went into the kitchen, retrieved a kitchen knife and then threatened to kill several patrons.

Robinson was tackled to the ground, and the knife was taken away from him by patrons. At some point during the altercation, a victim’s finger was cut by the knife. The suspect was detained without further issue and was transported to corrections. Robinson was charged with fourth-degree assault, three counts of menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a weapon. He was detained on $12,500 bail.
