Roseburg Police are investigating the theft of money from an automatic teller machine which was damaged at a credit union early Friday morning.

An RPD report said at 4:10 a.m. officers responded to a panic/ATM alarm at Rogue Credit Union in the 1300 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a large pickup with a heavy-duty chain attached. The vehicle was still running and there was obvious damage to one of the ATMs. Witnesses reported that two suspects fled from the location and got into a white SUV that was seen leaving the area. An undisclosed amount of cash from the ATM was taken by the suspects

The pickup was an unreported stolen vehicle from the Drain area. The vehicle owner was contacted by deputies and responded to the scene to recover the pickup.

No arrests have been made and work on the case continues.
