One vehicle rolled after swerving to miss a go-cart while a second vehicle hit the go-cart in a lane of travel on Interstate 5 southbound on Saturday night.
An Oregon State Police report said shortly after 9:00 p.m. the crash was called in, in the southbound lane of travel near the Winchester exit. The first vehicle, a sedan, ultimately came to rest on the shoulder. An SUV then hit the go-cart and the center median before it came to rest in the slow lane of travel.
The driver of the sedan claimed that there was an individual in the roadway with the go-cart, which is why he swerved. The individual was never located. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
