Pacific Power is dealing with widespread outages across the state after blustery overnight conditions.

The largest affected areas are in the mid-valley near Salem and Corvallis and in northwest Oregon near Seaside. Douglas County has several small outages, according to the company’s website.

The largest group of outages is in remote areas around Lemolo Lake.

Pacific Power says it has crews working around the clock to address the outages and restore power to the more than 30,000 customers currently in the dark.

Pacific Power encourages customers to be prepared for outages by having an emergency plan in place. The utility suggests some simple steps to be prepared, including:

  • Updating your contact information so Pacific Power can reach you.
  • Sign up to receive outage alerts by text, email or phone.
  • Restock your outage kit.
  • Keep mobile devices charged so that they may be used in an emergency.
  • Text OUT to 722797 to report your outage or STAT to check status.
