With forecasted heavy rains later this week, Douglas County Emergency Management is warning residents of possible issues.
Two local creeks could possibly reach minor flood stages during the heaviest rainfall between Thursday night and Friday morning.
Deer Creek in Roseburg is forecast to reach nearly 9.7 feet early Friday morning. That is just below the minor flood stage. Cow Creek in the Glendale area is predicted to peak at 7.8 feet Friday morning, which is just below the action stage.
Heavy rains can also cause ponding on roadways and in low-lying wet areas, which could lead to hazardous travel conditions.
