The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians will donate $2,000 to assist local food banks in Douglas County.

A release from the Tribe said every food bank in Douglas County will receive the funds to help stock the shelves this holiday season and support the growing number of hungry people in the community.

The funds will be given out during a ceremony Thursday morning at the Cow Creek Tribal Government Office in Roseburg.
