Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft of a Christmas wreath early Saturday.

An RPD report said at 4:00 a.m. officers contacted the 52-year-old from Bandon at the Roseburg VA. He had been detained by VA police for stealing the holiday greenery from a store in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.  The man reportedly stole the wreath from the garden section of the business several hours after it had been closed.

The man was transported to corrections and charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $2,500.
