SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEEKING MISSING MAN, VEHICLE FOUND IN ELLIOT STATE FOREST

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating a missing Lake County man, after his vehicle was found in the Elliott State Forest.

Undersheriff Brad O’Dell said on Sunday, November 30th, deputies responded to a report that a white 2002 Ford utility pickup had been found unoccupied by hunters on an unmaintained roadway near Loon Lake. O’Dell said deputies identified the vehicle as belonging to 61-year-old Robert Cotter of Christmas Valley.

Cotter, who operates the business Robert C. Handyman & Paint, had been providing handyman services to clients in the Reedsport and Elkton communities. He was last seen captured on security footage at a gas station in Christmas Valley, on Sunday, November 2nd.

O’Dell said DCSO is asking anyone who may have seen Cotter or his vehicle since November 2nd to contact DCSO at 440-4471. Pictures of the man are posted with this story at www.541radio.com
