December 2, 2025 10:20 a.m.

Roseburg Police cited a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at approximately 4:10 p.m. officers responded to a business in the 1800 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a 23-year-old called 911 to say that he had rolled his sedan into a ditch while driving nearby. Officers contacted the man and located his sedan which was upside down in Parrott Creek.

The driver admitted to drinking alcohol before going to a nearby gravel pit to burn “donuts”. He said he lost control of the vehicle, causing the sedan to roll into the creek. The man showed signs of intoxication. He consented to standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. The man was booked into Douglas County Corrections and then released to a valid driver.
