Sutherlin Police jailed a transient for a reported trespass incident on Saturday night.
An SPD report said just after 9:20 p.m. an employee at a store in the 1300 block of West Central Avenue called 911 regarding two adult males that he wanted trespassed from the business. They were seen standing outside the store.
31-year-old Richard Grossman had been trespassed from the business previously. He allegedly began yelling when told that he was under arrest. While attempting to place Grossman into custody, he allegedly began resisting. He was taken to the ground and placed into handcuffs. Grossman had called 911, telling operators that the police were attacking him. While on the ground, the suspect reportedly began banging his head on the concrete. While in the patrol vehicle, Grossman allegedly began kicking and thrashing around.
He was charged with second-degree counts of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and improper use of 911. Grossman was detained without bail and was released on Monday morning.
