Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a reported theft from a store on Friday night.

An RPD report said at 7:00 p.m. officers responded to the business in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. A store manager reported that a female, later identified as a 37-year-old, had walked out of the store with a cart full of items without paying and had left the scene on foot.

Officers located the suspect a short distance away. She admitted to stealing the items, valued at over $330. The store’s merchandise was returned. The woman was charged with second-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,250.
