Roseburg Police cited a woman following a single-vehicle wreck on Friday.

An RPD report said at 9:40 p.m. officers responded to the 600 block of Northeast Winchester Street. Officers learned the 19-year-old had been driving west on Northeast Klamath Avenue and came to the intersection with Winchester Street. She started to make a left turn into the roadway when her vehicle’s steering went out. That caused her to drive over the sidewalk on the west side of the street and crash through a fence onto a private business property.

The woman stated her vehicle had known steering problems, but she continued to drive it anyway. The woman also did not have vehicle insurance. No injuries were reported. The property owner was contacted. The woman was cited for driving uninsured and operation of an unsafe vehicle and then was released.
