WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP COMING IN DECEMBER

November 26, 2025 11:00 a.m.

The Oregon State University Extension Forestry and Natural Resources program is holding a workshop titled, “Forest to front door: A wreath-making workshop”, on December 11th.

The event will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Douglas Timber Operators Pavilion at the fairgrounds.

Attendees will learn how to identify, harvest, and use native forest materials to make beautiful wreaths. At the workshop, participants will learn to design and construct their own wreath to take home, just in time for the holidays.

Some greenery will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to forage in their yard and property for any clippings. Anything from native Douglas fir to classic holly, to sword fern can make wreaths interesting and fun.

Wreath bases, floral wire, decorative ribbon, and clippers will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own clippers or special decorations.

The cost to attend is $20. To register or learn more, go to: https://beav.es.xse or call the Extension office at 672-4461.
