Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at approximately 1:10 a.m. an officer observed a tent in a prohibited area of the trees at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. Officers contacted the 42-year-old who advised he thought that he could camp at Gaddis Park.

The man had no prior convictions for prohibited camping. He agreed to clean up his camp and was released after the citation was issued.
