Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation and for failure to reported as a sex offender on Thursday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:05 p.m. officers contacted the 31-year-old, who had been detained by Roseburg VA Police, due to the parole violation. His parole officer authorized a detainer. The man had also failed to report as a sex offender due to never making an initial report. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections.

The man was detained on $70,000 bail.
