Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just before 10:15 a.m. officers saw the 56-year-old and a protected person riding together in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street. The man is on parole and not supposed to have contact with the other person. Parole and Probation authorized a detainer.

The man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was detained without bail.
