Roseburg Police cited a woman for a city ordinance violation on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 4:00 p.m. officers contacted the 43-year-old who had an axe in her hand along the bike path at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The woman claimed the axe was not hers and felt she should not be cited for the violation.

The axe was seized and the woman was cited and released for having prohibited weapons and tools on city property.
