In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
The Roseburg High School Theater Department is presenting William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” opening Friday night.
A synopsis said when Macbeth, a celebrated war hero, encounters three mysterious witches, their dark predictions ignite an unquenchable hunger for the throne. With his cunning wife by his side, Macbeth plunges headlong into betrayal, murder and madness – setting off a chain of vengenance that can only end in ruin.
Performances are on stage on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 pm. with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. through November 22nd. Tickets are at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for those age 13 and under, and students with an ID. An extra $1 charge is added for payments made on a card.
