SHOWERS BEGIN LATE WEDNESDAY WITH MOUNTAIN SNOW

Southern Oregon will see showers beginning late Wednesday with mountain snow possible.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said active weather will return with breezy conditions starting late Thursday. Snow levels will drop to as low as 4,000 feet on Thursday, rising to 5,000 feet by Friday afternoon. Precipitation will continue this weekend with snow levels rising to as high as 7,000 feet.

The Umpqua Valley is expecting light rain from Wednesday evening through next Monday.
