During the 2026 short session of the Oregon State Legislature, State Representative Court Boice of Gold Beach, will chair the Oregon Coastal Caucus.
The caucus is a bicameral, bipartisan group of legislators that represent districts along the coast.
Representative Boice said, “Having lived my entire life on and around the Southern Oregon Coast, I’m truly humbled to lead this group of legislators. The Oregon Coast is world-renowned and a vital part of our state’s geography, economy and cultural diversity.” Representative Boice said, “Our State Representatives and Senators stand ready to tackle the needs of our coastal communities – from tourism and economic development, to livability, fishing and natural resources – in this uniquely important region”.
The Coastal Caucus represents seven counties, 22 cities, and 23 ports, and promotes policy that supports the resources, industries and people located along the West Coast. Boice said the group prioritizes the needs of the region over party politics.
