City of Roseburg buildings are closed Tuesday, in observance of Veterans Day.

A city release said Roseburg City Hall, the Public Safety Center, Roseburg Public Library and other city buildings will not be open to the public.

Police and firefighters will continue to provide public safety.

Roseburg parks will be open to the public.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday to honor all veterans who have served in war or peace. Veteran’s Day marks the end of World War I on November 11th, 1918. It was originally known as Armistice Day.

All federal, state, county, and other government offices are closed. Regular mail will not be delivered. Schools are not in session. Banks and credit unions will not be open.
