Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged menacing incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said just before 8:30 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Northeast Poplar Street after a caller said that there was a disturbance. After an investigation, it was determined that the 64-year-old woman had allegedly swung a machete towards a victim in an attempt to strike him with it, placing him in fear of serious physical injury.

She was charged with menacing and unlawful use of a weapon and was detained without bail.
