Roseburg Police cited a woman for second-degree theft on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 9:20 a.m. the 29-year-old was pushing a Fred Meyer shopping cart down from the multi-use paved path with trash and her possessions in it. The woman claimed she took the cart from Deer Creek Park and didn’t think of it as stealing because she didn’t take it from the store.

She was released after her citation was issued. The cart was returned to Fred Meyer.
