SEMI-TRUCK VERSUS SEDAN WRECK SLOWS TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY

November 4, 2025 9:20 a.m.

A semi-truck versus sedan wreck clogged traffic on Interstate 5 early Monday evening.

An Oregon State Police report said at approximately 5:50 p.m. the accident took place on Interstate 5 southbound just south of the Harvard Avenue on-ramp. The report said the driver of a sedan lost control after driving carelessly onto the freeway and crossing the solid lines. His vehicle then hit the center median and crashed into the bumper of the commercial motor vehicle.

The sedan came to an uncontrolled rest in the fast lane. The driver had minor injuries but refused treatment. A towing company recovered his vehicle. The report does not indicate if any citations were issued.

Traffic on Interstate 5 southbound backed up as a result of the crash.
