Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant and cited two people for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 9:30 a.m. officers contacted a 19-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman in a tent below the frisbee golf course in the 1400 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. Camping in this area is always prohibited, due to its proximity to the South Umpqua River. The camp was also set up during a prohibited time and in a prohibited manner.

The younger man was found to have a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $2,500. The man was released later in the day. The other two people were cited and released on the scene.
