Roseburg Police jailed a man for an ordinance violation on Monday.

An RPD report said at 11:15 a.m. the 63-year-old was contacted in his tent on Oregon Department of Transportation property near the Harvard Avenue on-ramp to Interstate 5 northbound. The report said the camp had been set up in the same location for at least five days. The man had two prior convictions for prohibited camping.

He was charged with a criminal count of prohibited camping. His camp was cleaned and his property was booked in at RPD. Bail was set at $5,000.
