Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Saturday night.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. officers contacted the 45-year-old after a caller said that he had violated a restraining order. This reportedly occurred when he asked a third party to relay a message to the female that the suspect is prevented from contacting.

The man admitted to the crime. He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $5,000.
