A Sutherlin man was taken to the hospital following an accident involving an electric bicycle and a small SUV on Tuesday.

A Sutherlin Police report said just after 5:00 p.m. the 70-year-old rode his bike into the crosswalk in front of the vehicle, causing the wreck at the intersection of West Central Avenue and South Calapooia Street.

The rider was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.
