Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft from a store on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 11:20 a.m. the 50-year-old was contacted after he allegedly stole a carton of wine from a store in the 2100 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, after previously being advised of trespass. The man was actively drinking the wine when he was contacted by officers.

He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $7,500.
