On Friday, Oregon Governor Tina Kotek nominated three Douglas County residents for a position on a state commission.
That was among dozens of people selected to be on a state board or commission. The Senate Committee on rules will consider the nominations next month during November Legislative Days.
Alicia McAuley was selected for another term on the Government Ethics Commission, while Jon Zwemke was nominated for another term on the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission. Kendra Murray was picked for her first term on the Patient Safety Commission Board of Directors.
The Governor makes appointments to over 265 boards and commissions representing a broad range of areas and issues. This includes most state agencies and departments headed by policy-making boards.
