A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 11:00 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 p.m. Sunday for mountain areas in parts of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said snow is expected with accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, and up to 16 inches above 6,000 feet. Winds will gust as high as 60 miles per hour over high and exposed areas.
The Advisory area includes the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains. It applies to Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and Crescent Lake as well as portions of highways 138, 62, 230, 238, and 58.
Forecasters said travel may be difficult with delays possible. Strong winds could cause tree damage. The heaviest snow is expected Saturday afternoon where there is a 70 percent chance of 1 inch of snow per hour.
