Roseburg Police cited a man for a drug offense on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 6:15 p.m. officers contacted the 27-year-old for trespassing on the railroad tracks near the 1400 block of Northeast Airport Road. Officers had prior knowledge that the man was possibly possessing a firearm. He gave officers consent to search his backpack and officers located a small container which the man said contained approximately two grams of methamphetamine. The substance later tested positive for amphetamines.

The suspect was cited for a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of meth. He was released after being given a citation.
