Roseburg Police cited a man for a city ordinance violation on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 9:20 a.m. officers contacted a 23-year-old in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The man was allegedly found in possession of a lever action BB rifle, as well as a machete. Both items are prohibited in city parks.

The man was released after being cited. Both items were seized as evidence.
