The Jerry Bruce Community Campus has canceled its Trunk-or-Treat event, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., due to forecast high winds and heavy rain.

Aviva Health’s Marketing and Development Director Mark Tsuschiya said, “We Oregonians don’t usually shy away from a little rain”. Tsuchiya said, “But when you add wind gusts approaching 30 miles per hour, it creates unsafe conditions for families and volunteers, especially with pop-up tents and little ones nearby. Safety always comes first”.

The decision to cancel was made by event organizers Friday afternoon after closely monitoring weather forecasts for the area.
