A Roseburg man was jailed for a warrant on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:30 a.m. the 43-year-old was called in for causing a disturbance and for having returned to a property in the 100 block of Twilight Avenue in the Green District.

Before deputies could arrive, the caller claimed the man had left on foot. After checking the area, deputies were unable to locate the suspect. Awhile later the caller reported that the man was in the back yard of the residence. A deputy parked nearby and caught the suspect off guard. He was detained without incident for the warrant.

The disturbance portion of the call was determined to be non-criminal in nature. The man advised that he had been in the back yard the whole time. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $5,000.
