In the KQEN Business Spotlight:
The new Holiday Inn Express in Roseburg is close to completion.
Bruce Hanna told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the project on Northwest Mulholland Drive is targeted to be finished by the end of December. Hanna said the new facility is an equal partnership between Hanna Hospitality and Sycan Corporation. It will be managed by Merete’ which has similar ownership to Sycan.
Hanna said the Holiday Inn Express will feature 100 guest rooms and an indoor pool. Planning for the project began over two years ago. Construction has been underway for the past 14 months.
Hanna said that Hanna Heritage Place has been designed as a retail, dining and hospitality attraction for Roseburg. He feels adding an additional new branded hotel to the center will be an excellent reason for people to come off Interstate 5 and stay in Roseburg. The Hampton Inn and Suites opened on the property at the end of April in 2018.
Hanna said the remaining space in Hanna Heritage Place is still available. The company has been working to get a new tenant since Elmer’s Restaurant closed in August of 2024. That building was later demolished.
The new Holiday Inn Express is scheduled to open sometime in January.
