The Douglas County Global Warming Coalition has an upcoming forum on climate change adaptation and resiliency with an emphasis on wildfires, next week.
“Meeting Today’s Climate Challenges, Community Resilience and Sustainability” will be presented Thursday, October 30th at 6:30 p.m. in the Ford Room of the Roseburg Public Library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. From wildfires to unprecedented heat waves, the organization believes that everyone needs to know how the community can adapt to changes in the climate.
The presenters will be:
*Dr. Chris Adlam, Southwest Regional Fire Specialist with the Oregon State University Extension Service, Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center.
*Douglas County Emergency Manager Emily Ring
*Oregon Department of Human Services, Social Services Emergency Liaison Terra Ralph
