Two drivers were cited following two, two-vehicle accidents during the afternoon commute on Tuesday.

A Roseburg Police report said the first wreck happened at 4:55 p.m. when a pickup and a sedan collided at the intersection of West Harvard Avenue and West Umpqua Street. The pickup driver, a 40-year-old man, admitted to running the red light, which caused his vehicle to hit the second one. He was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. The sedan had to be towed from the scene.

At 5:15 p.m. while investigating the first crash, eastbound traffic on West Harvard Avenue was reduced to one lane. A 66-year-old woman was in the lane that was shut down and was trying to merge into the open lane, when her vehicle crashed into the side of a pickup. She was cited for failing to maintain a lane. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
