Sutherlin Police jailed a man following a reported DUII incident on Monday night.

An SPD report said at 9:00 p.m. 57-year-old Shawn Pruitt was called in as a drunk driver in the parking lot of a business in the 1400 block of West Central Avenue. Pruitt reportedly committed several traffic violations when he left. An officer stopped the man, and he allegedly refused to follow commands. The report said Pruitt was visibly intoxicated and was placed under arrest.

The driver reportedly resisted being put into a patrol vehicle and being processed for DUII. Pruitt allegedly refused to blow and threatened to not only assault the officer but stated that he would kill them when he got out of jail.

Pruitt was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $22,500.
