ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged disturbance early Sunday morning.

An RPD report said at 4:00 a.m. officers contacted the 46-year-old from Winston after a victim claimed the man threatened to kill her and threw a large rock at her arm, causing a bruise on her bicep. The incident occurred near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Newton Creek Road.

The suspect was contacted approximately a half a mile away from the scene as he was walking away from his vehicle. He was taken into custody without issue and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $8,750.
