Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Friday.

An RPD report said just before 5:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving the 34-year-old and a victim, who were arguing near the bike path at Charles Gardiner Park in the 2400 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. Two witnesses told officers that they saw the two screaming at each other.

The man reportedly grabbed a stick and began hitting it on the ground. He then allegedly ran toward the victim, causing her to trip and fall, before he threw a blanket over her. The man then grabbed a bag full of cans and tore it open, scattering the cans on the ground.

He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500
