Roseburg Police jailed a man and cited a woman after contacting them at a transient camp on Thursday.
An RPD report said at approximately 2:15 p.m. officers talked with the 32-year-old man and 49-year-old woman in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers learned the man was not supposed to be in contact with the woman due to his parole agreement.
Officers recognized both people as suspects in a previous theft case. The man admitted to stealing the items and gave officers the stolen utility cart. He was taken into custody without incident.
The man was charged with the parole violation and second-degree theft. He was detained on $6,250 bail. The woman was cited for second-degree theft and then was released.
