A Myrtle Creek man was jailed on a warrant early Tuesday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 1:55 a.m. a deputy was driving in the 1300 block of Gazley Road in the Myrtle Creek area when he noticed the 73-year-old man walking nearby.

The deputy knew the man had an active warrant and contacted him. Dispatchers confirmed the warrant, and the man was taken into custody. He was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $5,000.
