ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR REPORTED CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported criminal mischief incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said the 32-year-old allegedly threw a can at a victim’s windshield, causing minor damage, in the 700 block of Southeast Oak Street. An argument then ensued between the two men that led them into the roadway.

Officers later confirmed this by watching security footage of the incident. At 6:30 p.m. officers contacted the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The man allegedly initially refused to provide his name. He was later transported to corrections.

The man was charged with second-degree counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $12,500.
