Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation early Saturday.

An RPD report said at 1:45 a.m. officers contacted the 31-year-old who was found sitting next to drug paraphernalia which he denied was his. This took place in the 2300 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The man denied consent to search his pockets, which is a violation of his parole. His parole officer was contacted, and again the suspect denied consent to search his pockets. The man was taken into custody without incident. He was detained without bail.
