Roseburg Police jailed a man for a felony probation violation and for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. the 52-year-old was contacted along the river in Stewart Park in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive, where camping is prohibited at all times. The man had two prior convictions for prohibited camping, so he was arrested on a criminal charge. His probation officer authorized a detainer, due to the new crime. The man was detained without bail.
