Wednesday evening, 4th District Congresswoman Val Hoyle released a statement after it was announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas.

Hoyle said, “I welcome the news of a ceasefire. I want to thank the White House and everyone involved in the process”. Hoyle said, “The priority now must be securing the release of all remaining hostages, getting humanitarian aid to civilians and supporting a lasting peace that ensures the safety, dignity and self-determination of Palestinians and Israelis alike.”

The announcement of a peace deal came just over two years after the terrorist network attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.
