A Roseburg man was jailed following a reported menacing incident on Tuesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 10:40 p.m. a caller said the 40-year-old was acting out and running around the house with a hammer, in the 2100 block of La Canada Drive in Green. The man was allegedly talking about demons and threatening two victims.

The suspect reportedly locked himself in the victim’s car and refused to come out. Eventually, deputies broke a window with the owner’s consent and the suspect decided to comply. He was charged with two counts of menacing and was detained without bail.
