Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft at a store on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 9:50 a.m. officers contacted the 40-year-old regarding the incident at a business in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The suspect reportedly stole over $22 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. Employees confronted the man and detained him. He allegedly admitted to stealing and being previously advised of trespassing at the business.

The man was charged with third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass. He was detained on $2,500 bail.
